I was born in Preston, Lancashire in 1983 and I have been fascinated by wildlife and the natural world from an early age. Inspired and encouraged by my father, I started drawing professionally in 2003. I graduated from Newcastle University with a Zoology degree in 2004 and in 2006 gained a Masters degree in Biodiveristy and Conservation at Leeds University. My passion for wildlife has taken me to California to work in an exotic cat sanctuary, Kenya, Australia and South Africa. The photographs I take are used to produce my drawings and paintings and I hope to continue travelling and working with wildlife in the future.

Commissions

• If you would like to commission an oil painting or a pencil drawing of an animal or a pet (I also draw people), all you need to do is send me some clear photographs either via email or post.  It is important to have a good quality photograph so that I am able to see the detail in the animal's features but I am also able to work from old photographs of low quality if that is all you have.

• If there is a particular animal that you would like me to paint, but you don't have a photograph, then I can provide the reference material free of charge as I have access to an extensive image reference library.

• Once the painting or drawing is completed I will email you a photo and you can let me know if you are happy with the final piece and I will make any changes if needed.  I will then varnish the painting and send it to you rolled in a tube once the payment has cleared.   I usually ask for payment once the painting is completed but I also accept payment up front if that is what you prefer.
